Ballet

Students will learn classical ballet technique & terminology. Each class will consist of ballet-barre exercises, center exercises, and across the floor work combinations. Students will learn classical ballet from several different techniques including but are not limited to Vaganova Method, Cecchetti Method, & Royal Academy of Dance Method. Ballet classes will become increasingly more difficult as students move up in levels. 

Jazz

Jazz dance first known during World War 1, originates from African Dance but has now broadened into many distinct styles ranging from Swing to Broadway Jazz. Class will focus on elements such as; isolations, footwork, and understanding complex rhythms

Tap

Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. Students will learn a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap. The class will focus on developing proper tap technique, producing precise tap sounds, and much more. As students progress through each level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate.

Contemporary 

Contemporary dance unlike many other genres of dance does not have a set of standards that place them into a specific category. Contemporary dance originated in the mid-20th century spurring off the heels of famous modern pioneers such as Lester Horton, Martha Graham, and Josè Limon. Contemporary dance seeks to create new choreographic movement through exploration, collaboration, and visualization. 

Hip Hop

Hip Hop is a dance genre which consists of high energy movement that infuses many styles including popping, locking, breaking and many more. Hip hop class will encourage students to step outside of their comfort level, all while bringing their own style into the class while working on their stamina and strength. 

Stretch & Strength  

This class is designed to improve a dancer's range of motion, enhance muscle flexibility and increase their level of core muscle strength. Through a variety of stretches and strengthening exercises, dancers will also increase their awareness of their own body's potential as it connects to expression through movement.
